Lock 10 may well not be necessary due to the extra depth of lock 9 but either way its lock pound then gives access to the River Welland.

Lock 11, Briggins or High Lock MAY need lengthening but it is all still there and usable with new gates.

Lock 12, Low Lock will need rebuilding and the sluice removing.

Access to and from the navigable River Welland and the rest of the eastern regions waterways is then possible.
