The Provisional Programme for 2023/4 is below.
From March to September we visit a garden. In the autumn and winter months - October to February - we meet at the Church Hall of St Peter and Paul’s Church, Great Casterton and have speakers on garden-related topics.
We try to arrange our visits within a 30 mile radius of Stamford, sharing cars when possible, so transport is available for those without their own wheels. If people accept a lift, we suggest a contribution towards petrol costs.
 There is no charge for membership of our Group, however as most gardens are opened to raise money for charity, the owners make a charge for entry, which includes tea/coffee and cake. For our winter talks we charge £6 which covers hire of the hall, speaker and refreshments.
Our talks are open to all but our garden visits are only open to members. We need to confirm numbers to our hosts a week ahead for catering purposes. Some gardens are limited in the numbers they can accommodate, and most hosts require a minimum number of attendees to make it worth their while to open. If you sign up for a visit and subsequently have to cancel, we need at least a week’s notice so that we can advise our hosts of final numbers.
You do not have to be a gardener or have any gardening knowledge to join us.
