The preparation of the Stamford Canal lots

There were 24 lots recorded for sale. Whilst many of the lots were logical, the reasoning behind some of the lot sizes seems to have been in an attempt to chop it up into similar lengths so that an average price could be determined for the benefit of those further down the list of the parts of the canal rather than the benefit to the riparian landowner alongside!

For simplicity on this website, the lot numbers have been split into 3 sections.

Lots 1 to 10   from Stamford towards Tallington

Lots 11 to 18   from Tallington to Molecey Mill

Lots 19 to 23   Market Deeping to Low Lock plus

Lot 24, the River Gwash lot (between lots 1 & 2)

(Just showing human error had crept in at the last minute!)
